Castle Hall was founded by Chris Addy, President and CEO. Chris is one of the hedge fund industry's most experienced due diligence practitioners, having completed significantly more than 500 reviews of hedge funds, fund of funds, administrators and other service providers.
Chris was previously co-founder of Amber Partners, a Bermuda company providing operational certifications to hedge funds. Prior to forming Amber, he was Senior Vice President of UBP Asset Management (Bermuda) Limited, where he supervised a team of analysts responsible for operational due diligence on a large number of hedge funds and administrators. Chris was also Group Financial Controller of The Atlantic Philanthropies, a $5 billion foundation, where his responsibilities included operational due diligence. His exposure to hedge funds began in 1994 as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers Bermuda, where he became the manager in charge of the firm's investment company audit practice. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte in the United Kingdom.
Chris is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and Ordre des comptables agrees du Quebec, and is also a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder.
